Supervised Visits Perth

Adeona Child Contact Services (Adeona CCS) offers supervised visits – anywhere, any time.

Separation or divorce is a difficult and challenging situation for everyone involved: for the couple and – especially – for the children. Children often don’t completely understand what is going on and if parents carry out their conflict in front of or around children, it will harm their feelings and even their development.

The Children’s contact services have been established to minimise a child’s exposure to conflictual or unsafe situations. They facilitate safe, neutral and child-focused visits and changeovers to occur between children and their parents and other significant persons in the child’s life. They assist parents who are experiencing conflict to manage these arrangements.

The Child Contact Services work with families to encourage positive interaction between children and their parents, and to support the strengthening of these relationships. Over time, and where possible, parents are encouraged to move to self-management of their arrangements for spending time with the child.

A supervised visit will enable children to have contact with both parents (and/or other significant family members) in a safe and conflict-free environment. At Adeona CCS, we endeavour to make supervised visits as stress-free as possible for your children, by providing a supervisor for your unique family situation, so your children can feel and be safe.

The role of the supervisor is to ensure the safe transition/transport of the children from one parent to the other and to supervise the contact visits, so that each parent can spend time with their children in a safe and conflict-free environment.

We will source and provide a supervisor suitable to your unique needs and family situation. Our supervisor will monitor the visit – staying within hearing and visual distance at all times. The supervisor will agree upon a ‘safe word’ with anxious children and whenever your child feels uncomfortable and says the ‘safe word’, the supervisor will re-direct the situation, but will only intervene or terminate the visit when necessary.

Wherever possible, the same supervisor will attend each visit to provide further consistency and safety for your child. This additionally ensures a solid basis for court reports, which will be provided on request.

All of our supervisors are professionally trained and have both National Police Clearance and Working with Children Checks. They have a sound knowledge of child developmental needs and issues, and hold certificates/degrees in the areas of Welfare/Social Work, Teaching, Counselling or other related fields.

We offer supervised visits and contact services from Mandurah to Perth along with most greater-Perth areas; however, we are also available for extended visits (e.g. weekends, school holidays) and to accompany minors on flights (providing that the court order allows doing so).
